St. Luke's Wood River was selected for their Bedside Handoff implementation. Bedside Handoff is a method where nurses conduct shift report with patient involvement at the patient's bedside to allow for a seamless transition of care.

St. Luke's Wood River received this award which is given to the facilities whose overall score exceeds expectations for all patient types. In Idaho, there were only four hospitals that received this award and three of them were other St. Luke's hospitals.

This award was given to St. Luke's Wood River because they had the highest score for Emergency Room patient's in Avatar's national database. St. Luke's Wood River was the only hospital in Idaho to receive this prestigious award.
