Instructor Course

Instructor Course Description
Candidates must demonstrate satisfactory performance using lectures, scenarios, interactive case presentations, skill presentations, and proper use of video-mediated learning. Instructor candidates must demonstrate skills in student testing, assessment, and remediation.

Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates will be:

  • Motivated to teach, facilitate learning, and ensure that students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion
  • Willing to comply with AHA, Regional Faculty, and Training Center Faculty rules and procedures

Prerequisites
Participants must:

  • Be competent reading ECG strips
  • Complete the ACLS OB provider course prior to attending instructor course
  • Have completed the AHA Core Instructor Course (must provide copy of Certificate of Completion), or copy of current ACLS Instructor card
  • Bring AHA Instructor Application (initiated by Training Center with which you'll be aligned) with you to the Instructor course
