But as an employee, you know that you can also say, "It makes a difference in the life of a patient." You, more than others, know the value of your gift to the people we serve at St. Luke's. Our mission to improve the health of people in our region could not be accomplished without your time, talent, and treasure. As a not-for-profit hospital, we care for all people who come to us for help. The gift of your time and talent makes this possible. The gift of your treasure means we can do even more.
To implement St. Luke's vision for the future and maintain our high standards, we need to work together within St. Luke's and our community. Before we go to the community for help, we need the support from our "St. Luke's Family". That family includes St. Luke's leadership, board members, physicians, and employees.
Here's how you may make a gift:
Using the payroll deduction form:
1. Please deduct a cash amount from your paycheck each pay period.
2. Please pledge 1 or more hours of PTO each pay period.
As an employee, you care about and trust St. Luke's. The form below has various giving opportunities, and we hope that you will consider a gift of your treasure by completing the Employee Charitable Donation Form.
New PTO Options
Beginning in March 2011, we have the opportunity to make gifts of PTO hours and have our taxes and other payroll expenses deducted from the amount of the gift; 38.5% of your PTO will go toward your taxes and other mandatory deductions.
Here's how that works:
When you make a PTO gift of one hour per pay period, no matter the cash amount of that gift, you will receive a tax deductible receipt for 61.5% of that cash amount.

This new opportunity to St. Luke's Employees makes it much easier to give a gift of PTO hours. So…..especially if you are nearing the maximum allowed PTO accumulation, please consider giving those hours to St. Luke's. You will have made a tax-deductible gift and you won't lose those valuable PTO hours!

Partners in Giving has a goal to raise $325,000 from our employees in 2011. As a team, we can reach that goal!
If 2,000 employees gave just $10 per pay period, we would raise $520,000 yearly.
If 1,000 employees gave just $25 per pay period, we would raise $650,000 yearly.
Imagine if every Treasure Valley St. Luke's employee (4,500) gave just $10 per pay period...
we would raise $1,170,000 yearly!
