Junior Volunteer Program
Volunteer Opportunities for Teens
St. Luke’s Junior Volunteer Program is for young men and women ages 14-18 who are interested in providing service to their community through St. Luke’s. The program provides an opportunity for volunteers to experience a hospital environment, gain customer service and leadership skills, and learn to take on responsibility, all while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
The Junior Volunteer office is located at St. Luke’s Boise, where interviews, orientation, and trainings take place, and where the majority of volunteer positions are offered. St. Luke’s Meridian does have volunteer positions available once the volunteer has accrued 30 hours of volunteer service and training at St. Luke's Boise.
To be considered for membership in the Junior Volunteer Program, you must:
- Be at least 14 years old at time of application
- Have a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA)
- Show verification of two MMR shots since birth
- Be neat and well-groomed
- Be trustworthy, dependable, honest, courteous, pleasant, and punctual
- Have a professional attitude and behavior
