Free Prostate Cancer Screenings
Description:
Prostate cancer is a silent killer because early stages
of the cancer have no symptoms. According to the American
Cancer Society approximately 26,214 men will die from the
disease this year while another 237,600 cases will be diagnosed.
It’s important to get screened, but a lot of people don’t have insurance, or can’t afford to pay for screenings, which is why St. Luke’s MSTI will be offering the screening tests for prostate cancer for FREE.
It is recommended that all men 50 years of age or older have an annual prostate screening. Men who are at a higher risk (are African American or have a brother or father who have prostate cancer) should begin screenings at age 40.
