Magic Valley Medical Center
Billing
As a not-for-profit organization, St. Luke's maintains an "open door" policy. This means that we will provide medically necessary care to any person. Furthermore, St. Luke’s does not charge for its health care services based on a patient’s ability to pay. One charge is established for every service the hospital provides.
Billing Information
If you have given us insurance information, we will submit
a claim on your behalf. St. Luke’s is required to file a separate claim to your insurance for each inpatient or outpatient visit; therefore you will receive a separate bill/account number for each visit/date of service.
Radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists and consulting physicians will bill you and/or your insurance company separately for their services. These consulting physicians are not hospital employees; therefore they may not be participating members of your specific insurance plan. If you have any questions regarding your insurance coverage and/or bills from these providers, please contact them directly.
If you do not have insurance, you will receive a bill shortly after services are provided. Please remit payment in full at that time. If you are unable to pay the balance in full, refer to the “Paying Your Bill” section for other options.
Paying Your St. Luke's Jerome Bill
Full payment will be expected when you receive a bill requesting payment. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
If you can only make a partial payment, please contact our office directly to determine if you qualify for one of St. Luke’s payment plans. Payment plans can be set up to automatically deduct from your Credit Card or Checking Account on a semi-monthly or monthly schedule.
We may request that you complete a Financial Care Application (Download Application: English / Spanish) to support such requests.
Financial Assistance
If you anticipate that you will be unable to pay your bill, please contact a Financial Representative during your hospital stay. Our Financial Representatives can help you understand your insurance coverage or apply for government aid.
To find out if you qualify, please contact a financial representative in patient financial services at 208-324-0630 or by completing an application (Download Application: English / Spanish).
