Nursing Job Opportunities

Work Where You Truly Make a Difference

A strong, professional nursing staff is at the heart of St. Luke’s. We engage nurses at every level of the organization as leaders, caregivers, and scientists. For new graduates and veteran nurses alike, opportunities for skill enhancement, knowledge enrichment, and career advancement abound—from community hospital care to rural clinic practice to leading-edge tertiary services.

Nurses at St. Luke’s work to provide a patient-focused, nursing-friendly environment that extends from the hospital and clinic to the patient’s home, community, and workplace. Our nurse-to-patient ratios are among the best in the country, allowing nursing staff to establish effective and meaningful patient relationships. Even in our high-tech world, a personal touch is still vital in helping patients heal.

St. Luke’s enjoys an outstanding reputation as both a quality employer and superior healthcare organization. We strive to add only those individuals who will continue in the same tradition of excellence. We’re the state’s largest private employer, with more than 12,000 employees and a medical staff of more than 1,329 physicians and 515 advanced practice providers. Our mission to improve the health of people in our region provides dedicated professionals with a wide range of reasons to pursue a life-changing career at St. Luke’s.

We’re also the only locally governed, Idaho-based, not-for-profit health system with a network of six full service medical centers, five cancer centers, the state's only children's hospital, and more than 100 physician clinics and diagnostic centers serving communities throughout southern Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada.

Magnet Designation

The Gold Standard in Nursing Care

St. Luke’s Boise and Meridian hospitals, St. Luke's MSTI cancer centers, and our Treasure Valley clinics have achieved Magnet Recognition four times by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC). Of the approximately 5,000 hospitals in the U.S., just 419, or 8%, have achieved Magnet designation, and only 30 have earned the designation four or five times.
